Training Seminar for Judges and Prosecutors of the Republic of Moldova on Ensuring Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms in Offline and Online EnvironmentsWithin the framework of the joint Council of Europe and European Union project “Strengthening the Respect for Human Rights in the Implementation of the Republic of Moldova’s Digital Agenda”, on 22-23 February 2016, the CoE in partnership with the National Institute of Justice of the Republic of Moldova will organize a training seminar on Ensuring Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms in Offline and Online Environments for a group of 30 judges and prosecutors. The training is designed to further increase skills and knowledge of the participants on the European Court of Human Rights case law and the Council of Europe adopted standards on Human Rights protection on the Internet, rule of law in the digital world, Internet Governance.
The training will be conducted jointly by a group of the CoE and national experts and delivered in sessions covering the topic such as: CoE Human Rights standards with regard to the Internet, the rule of law in the digital world, CoE and ECHR standards on data protection and privacy online, freedom of expression and information Online, CoE and ECHR Standards on cyber security and its relation to Human Rights. The event is organized in accordance with the country’s priorities in the field on information society, under the Council of Europe Action Plan to support democratic reforms in the Republic of Moldova for the period 2013-2016 and the National Action Plan for the period 2014-2016 adopted to implement the Association Agreement between the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community and their Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Moldova, of the other part. |
