The Council of Europe through its Programmatic Co-operation Framework (2015 – 2017) is organising a 3-day training on communication in the framework of the follow-up to the recommendations of election observation missions. The event will take place in Odessa, Ukraine from 25 to 27 May 2016.

The Council of Europe is seeking for 2 local experts on IMC piloting in each Eastern Partnership country
This short-term assignment requires assisting municipalities in the process of IMC establishment in accordance with the Council of Europe IMC toolkit, within regional Programme “Strengthening institutional frameworks for local governance” implemented by the Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform, Directorate General of Democracy (DG II) and the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the CoE/EU Eastern Partnership Programmatic Co-operation Framework (PCF) during 2015 – 2017.

This short-term assignment requires working on the adaptation and piloting of the standard council of Europe Local Finance Benchmarking (LFB) Toolkit within regional Programme “Strengthening institutional frameworks for local governance” implemented by the Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform, Directorate General of Democracy (DG II) and the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, Council of Europe under the CoE/EU Eastern Partnership Programmatic Co-operation Framework (PCF) during 2015 – 2017 in the Eastern Partnership countries.
Training course on Discrimination based on nationality/citizenship, 11 March 2016
On 11 March 2016 the Council of Europe organised a one day training course for the staff and members of the Moldovan Council for Prevention and Elimination of Discrimination and Ensuring Equality and for the staff of the Ombudsperson Office from Chisinau. The aim of the training course was to familiarise the participants with the topic of Discrimination based on nationality/citizenship.
The training course was delivered by Ms Ivana Roagna and Mr Constantin Cojocariu, international consultants.
Council of Europe Project “Support to criminal Justice Reform in the Republic of Moldova”
On 1 March, 2016 the second Steering Committee Meeting within the Council of Europe Project “Support to criminal justice reforms in the Republic of Moldova”, funded by the Government of Denmark (the Project) was organised. The purpose of the steering committee was to discuss the results achieved by the Project in 2015 and the prospects for the current year.
